They've been considered one of the power couples in hip hop the last few years since their marriage in 2005. Recently though, things have not been so rosy. Rumors have been surfacing about Kelis' commitment to the relationship with an underground rapper claiming to have had an affair with Kelis (With an accompanying sex tape, mind you...although no one has SEEN the tape). Whether or not those rumors are true, is something that has yet to been proven or debunked. Regardless of what happens, it seems as though Nas and Kelis are forever going to be linked because sources are telling us that Esco and Ms. "I'm Bossy!" are expecting their first child together!!!

While Nas has a daughter from a previous relationship, this will be Kelis' first child. While this is amazing for the couple and we are congratulating them, this is seemingly going to be another blow to Kelis as her career has been treading downward in the last few years. Since her mega hit "Milkshake" in 2003, she has not matched the buzz or the sales since. Nas however, has been in the news with the announcement of his last album initially being titled "N*GGER". But due to push back from retail, Nas was eventually forced to change the name of the album to having no title. This undeniably hurt the record as sales were not comparable to his previous effort titled "Hip Hop is Dead".

We're stoked for them. They have been together for awhile and like we said, they have to be one of the top couples in hip hop. Definitely not up to B and Jay's level....but they aren't Remy Ma and Papoose. Ya know what we're sayin'? One thing we are concerned about is the rumor of this sex tape and what is happening behind closed doors. The couple always seems really dedicated and affectionate towards one another so any infidelity would surprise us. Remember the b-day party Kelis threw for Nas a few years ago that was a whole 80's Hip Hop throwback? How amazing was that??? That's the kind of woman that you want to wifey up. At least for us. =)
